Although you won’t find me in on the cover of Iron Man Magazine, I do fall into the fit category of my life. To tell you the truth, I ended 2010 with a bang…..by losing 30lbs in 6 months! If you’re reading this in hopes of hearing me tell you that there’s a magic pill out there for weight loss, you’re going to be disappointed. It took me 12 long years or working out to figure a system that worked for me. I would buy home exercise equipment to work out at home because I didn’t feel like paying for a gym membership.
If you plan on buying cheap exercise equipment for home, you should already have a defined fitness goal already in place. Are you trying to lose weight or are you trying to build muscle mass? Figuring what your goals are will prevent you from buying the wrong type of home exercise equipment. For those on a budget, you can find plenty of cheap exercise equipment for home use.
Here are 5 kinds of home exercise equipment that you can get that works, and some you might not realize is exercise equipment:
1. Jump Rope
Exercise equipment doesn’t always have to be the latest and greatest machines that take up an entire room of your house. Jump roping is a great way to increase your heart rate and blood flow to get your body warmed up for working out.
2. Dumbbells
There’s nothing dumb about having a nice set of dumb bells for your home. Dumb bells are great for resistance training to get those toned. This is the preferred home exercise equipment for women because most fitness goals for women is to tone down and not build too much muscle mass.
3. MP3 Player
What? A MP3 player?!! That’s right; music plays a huge part in motivation during your workout. Many people would take a portable MP3 player with them during their workouts to listen to music that would give them that extra push that they need. Hey, whatever works right?
4. Shoes
Gym shoes and/or running shoes is very important to prevent any injuries as well as add comfort ability to your workouts. You should never work out and look like you’re going to the beach with your sandals, etc.
5. Heart Rate Monitor
For those who need to closely monitor their heart rate, I highly suggest you invest in a heart rate monitor to prevent working out too hard. Another affordable way to work out is to look for second hand gym equipment online, etc.
